Freedom First Riders Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm on June 28, 2008 by President Wolf with 28 members present.Pledge was led by Sargent of Arms and a moment for the Vets. Introduced new member guest Laura.

Secretary Report was read , Scott motioned too eccept and Wayne seconded.

Treasurer Report - As of May 31st we have have $in our account -and $. in petty cash . Will have MRF Membership of $125. and $500. Sponsorship for the Silver at the Abate Rally to minus. Got 20 Buddy Bears paid for and delivered too Deb C. for donating to the towns of Miltona, Carlos, Osakis, and Parkers Prairie. Moneys from our ticket sales for the bikes at abate u not in account yet. Motion made to accept by Mary and seconded by Penny.

Reps Reported out of tickets for bike at the Rally but will be getting more. BOD is on July 18th

Vice President was not present went to Alaska on a motorcycle trip.

 President Wolf talked of getting a Rally Committee together , Beth L., Roxanne,and Deb C. volunteered for that committee . Would like too have our August meeting at the Rally this year . No motion made and will decide at next meeting on the time to have it.

Historian /Santa noted to check the pictures on the web site , and needs infor by the 10th of each month.

Penny / website says we have 2,515 hites with an average of 500 per month. Will be adding an index and up and coming events.

Old Business- Talked of forming committees . We will need a Gambling committee and others to funtion as a whole chapter. Discussed the Motorcycle Saftey Intersection Training Kit and how he {Wolf} used it at his work and wanted others to share it with schools and groups. Mary offered to take the packet to share.

New Business- Chapter Logo was discussed . All designs will be brought before the chapter with the present design included. Motion was made to accept by Scott and seconded by Kathy . We talked of becoming 1 year old as a chapter in July . Mary suggested we have a Birthday Party and will bring the cake. It will be after our July Meeting and will be potluck .

Open Disccusion - Mentioned Wadena having a festival on August 1th and may need security , will find out info on that . Plant was given by the Chapter and hat was passed for Deb E. who is recovering from surgery.

Meeting was adjourded at 7:25 , Motion made to accept Beth E. and seconded by Kathy.

Chapter minutes

Meeting was held at Club Miltona, Miltona MN, at 6:00 pm with 37 members attended. Pledge was led by Sargent of Arms and moment for Vets. Introduced new members: Don and Deb. Welcomed visitors: Edgar the NW District Director and LeAnn. Also Rodney King from Glacier Ridge.

 Secretary Report was read and motion made to eccept by Mary Seconded by Beth.

 Treasures Reported $in as of now (not updated yet). $in petty cash. New members unknown but $125.00 was recieved from that. Nothing outstanding. Working on the silver sponsorship for the Rally. Motion made to eccept by Penny and Seconded by Ed.

 Rep Report - Has State Raffle tickets for sale at $5.00 each - books available - Reported we sold 77 tickets and we recieved 5% of a portion of them. Leaving us with $385.00. The emissions excempt and will omit motorcycles from this but keep writting ledgistlatures.

 Vice President - Reported Glaciel Ridge came in 1st for ticket sales and we came in 2nd for abate U Motorcycles. State Rally is putting up a new building at the fair grounds in Litchfield. We are signed up for another five year contract. Has tickets at $35.00 each for sale, see Jeppe.

 Wolf comments on Habit for Humanity Bike Run and take Trifolds with you when going on runs.

 Santa - needs info in 10 days for road noise. Adopt a Highway Pic in Road Noise.

 Penny Web Master - 2,029 hits on it. Check E-mails on message board. Shared one on Bee boxes to close to highways. Red and Penny's wedding announcement for June 21st at Chris and Jen's Farm. 

 Old Business - Parade committee chairman: Scott told us of Osakis Parade June 29th, be there at noon and set table up in park. Carlos - July 12th at the School at 2:00. Miltona - July 19th. Parkers - Aug (to be announced). Mary made motion to table and Seconded by Scott.  Urbank Days - Volunteers for June 28th at Old Mill for classic car and bike show run.

 New Business - Discussion on Chapter Logo. Will table to discuss at next meeting.

 Open Discussion - Rayan mentioned attending the National Motorcyle Convention in Texas. Our Legistlative rep will be Rick Colden. Red will check on stastaining a membership for MRF and it was motioned by Merf and Seconded by Tanya. Wolf will handle negitive e-mails on website.
