•  Hat passed for Reece and Nikki Aldrich, who lost their house in the Almora Tornado.  Aagard Group, Reece’s employer, will match our donation.  We collected $151.00.  A fund raiser will be held on July 3 @ Leaf Valley.
• A card was passed around for Terry Sibert.  Two baskets were made up for a benefit auction on July 10.

STATE REPORT:

•  Anyone who went to the Capitol on Biker Day can purchase buttons for $3.00 @ July B.O.D.
• Advance rally tickets can be purchased for $30.00 but must be purchased before July B.O.D.
• Kris Walkobiak, Minnesota Abate Marketing Director, is willing to help with any event planning.
• REMINDER:  If you complete the Motorcycle Safety Course, you will receive 6 months free ABATE membership (3 months for couples).
• WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VICE PRESIDENT REPORT:

• Thanks to everyone who participated in picking up Dial-a-Ride calendars.
• Chuck Beterman Jr. was in a bike accident on 6/25/10 and sustained minor injuries.

Education & Training (Bob Jespersen)

Gambling (Ray Stach)

• State Rally raffle tickets are still available – must be turned in by mid-August
• “Premise Permit” is up in July.  We did not renew because of moving the location of the bike show.  We will need a motion, soon, for a new permit to get the ball rolling

Legislative Chair (bob timm)

• Bob Timm is new chair
• Pass out on information about pushing for a 5% increase on ethanol…not good for older bikes!
• Senator Klobuchar is co-sponsoring a bill in DC for stiffer penalties on teens using cell phones and texting while driving.

Dial-a-ride (john nelson)

• Thanks again to everyone who helped pick up calendars
• Need at least 10 more road guards for the Pete’s Ride
• July 9, need volunteers to help clean up the roads on Pete’s route.
• Need volunteers for ABATE membership table at Pete’s ride.
• Need a Head Road Guard for Pete’s ride to organize road guards.

Buddy bear (LeAnne Chisholm)

• Buddy Bears have NOT been received because they apparently have not been shipped.  Mac has been contacted.

• REMINDER:  After Pete’s County Market Ride…meet at the Eagles for Terry Sibert's Benefit.

• Robert made a motion to award Lynn a Silver Sponsorship ticket.  The motion was seconded by Tony.  Motion Carried.
• Still need to decide on four more tickets.
• Get to Litchfield EARLY ~ ~ ~ SPACE IS LIMITED!
