STATE REPORT:
- Biker Day on the Hill: 500 attended (41 of the 500 were FFR)…no helmet laws in any of the bills so far…would like 2011 bikers to attend next year...
- Ray read a letter from PAC …thanks and please make contributions
- Mac Backlund, State Coordinator is Motorcycle Safety Advisor
- Ray handed out some awards and pins….congrats to those recipients.
VICE PRESIDENT REPORT:
- Thanks for all the hard work done on the Bike Show ~ it was a great success
- State Rally: we have taken on the duties of Waste Warriors and Dust Control. Need sponsors for State Rally (see Road Noise for all the levels of sponsorships) ~ Cal made a motion that Freedom First Riders be a Silver Sponsor in the amount of $500.00. 2nd by: Joe Motion Carried
- Write you Representatives and keep sending your letters until you get a response- see Ray if you have done so repeatedly and still have no response…he knows who to talk to.
PUBLIC RELATIONS/Santa:

- Between now and July, we need to get our Premise Permit which gives us rights to hold as many raffles as we want for the next year. However, it is sight specific and the drawing MUST be held on the premises that are on the permit. Remember cash is the easiest. If it will not be a cash raffle – the prizes MUST be paid for in advance.
- Our stimulus raffle at the Bike Show: ALL tickets were sold! Congrats to the winners.
- Motorcycle Raffle Tickets: FFR sold over 10% of those! We will receive approx. $790.00 for that.
- ABATE State Rally Raffle tickets are now available. $5.00 each and we have 300 tickets…see Ray to sign them out. Left over tickets and money need to be turned into Ray by August 23 at the latest.

Dial-a-ride (john nelson)
- There was one intervention done at the Bike Show.
- Please sign up for taking call on some weekends throughout the summer. Pay is 14 cents a mile and the Dial-A-Ride trailer is covered by insurance. There is only partial coverage if you use your own trailer. Pick up calendars.

OLD BUSINESS
- BIKE SHOW: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED! There were 53 entries! There are a lot of pictures on the website ~ go check them out. The vendors all seemed pleased. Total brought in from ticket sales, silent/live auctions, etc was $9,829.00. Total approximate expenses were $4722.00. We will split approx. $5107.00 with the State. We signed up about 30 new members that day.
- WASH OUT ~ May 22nd: The State approved us to have it Miltona Outpost (which Jeppe said he will make sure that it’s ok). Start @ 9:00 a.m. until 12:00. The following rules must be followed for this event:
- State Literature only
- neat appearance
- no solicitations and do not accept donations
- must not charge a fee for coffee or water if you’re offering it
- no alcohol
- AKS BEFORE WASHING their windows as they may not want you to.
- DITCH CLEAN UP ~ ALSO MAY 22nd: Since it is the highway by Miltona Outpost, Murf made a motion that we meet at 8:30 a.m. (prior to the wash out) and divide up to clean the ditch. 2nd by Brenda. Motion Carried
- HABITAT RIDE ~ Memorial Weekend: We need road guards. See the Ride Captain.
NEW BUSINESS
Business listings on the website: Joe made a motion to charge $20.00 per year to members and $40.00 per year to non-members to put their ad on our website. 2nd: Cal Motion Carried
Food Wagon Fund Raiser @ State Rally: Murf made a motion to have the food wagon again this year. 2nd: Joe Motion Carried ~~~ Some changes will be made this year. Beth and Gary (plus a few others) will be working on this.
Douglas County Relay for Life: Jo Cory was here representing Relay for Life. They are asking if our organization would be willing to organize a ride. Ernie will follow up for possible dates yet this year before the end of August.
