COMMITTEE REPORTS
BIKE RALLY:
- Wine list is being passed around again to pre-request a bottle
- Sign up: 5 different positions to sign up for…please help
- We don’t have a leather vendor - so other vendors will bring theirs to sell
- Press write up
- Pop and water will be for sale – need someone to head that up. Get a hold of Chris or sign up on the sheet coming around.
- Chris will be meeting with Winery people for last minute things.
- Shuttle bus will be running in the local area … anyone with a commercial passenger license who would be willing to take a shift please contact Murph.
- Only one bike registered yet. Get the word out. Take some flyers and hand them out. There are 5 classes of bikes to enter. Show is from 11:00 – 5:00 (doors open at 8:00). The trophies have been upgraded immensely.
- Silent auction and live auction items still needed. You can bring them to Hedine Jewelry or the night before. Bring a display table if you have one.
- We have a trailer and 4-wheeler to get people from the parking lot to the building.
Education/Bob: Bob has been working with the Safety Center to see if they will have anyone at the bike show.
Gambling/Ray
- 29 bike tickets (the $100.00 ones) are still out. We have until Monday after the Bike Show to get them turned in.
- We have covered the money for our raffle prizes. Only 30 books left out there. Those need to be turned in by the day of the bike show. Prizes will not be given out that night. Kim will call to verify the address and checks will be mailed out. The drawing is at 9:45 p.m. the day of the Bike Show.
Dial-A-Ride/John: They have 2 new trailers. In April, the trailer will be at Pete’s County Market on display for the month of May
OLD BUSINESS
- ABATE U reminder. We will have a hospitality room both nights. Don’t forget about the apple pie contest. Rainbow Ink will be at ABATE U (they were going to be at our Bike Show but cannot make that).
- Wash Out – May 22nd. Not sure which rest area yet…waiting to hear back.
- Habitat for Humanity (Awake the Lakes): Starts at 2:00 p.m. and we will be road guarding. This will be on Saturday of Memorial Weekend (May 29th). This is also our meeting night…thinking about the Alexandria VFW. Santa made a motion that we have our meeting at the VFW in May. Second by John. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINES
Steve made a motion to have June meeting at Hedine’s. Second by: Mary Motion Carried
There was a motion made to donate $200.00 to Wounded Vets, it was seconded and motion carried.
Now, for the bad news…my computer shut down at this point and I took the rest of the minutes by hand but someone picked them up with other stuff and they either got trashed or went home with someone! So…that’s all folks.
Elections held ~ congratulations to all!
